Bread of life community project

The Bread of Life Community Project was formed at the end of 2008. Our work is a community project run by a group of Christians from varying church backgrounds who have volunteered to freely give both of their time and resources Our aim is to demonstrate God's love and compassion in a practical way by reaching out into our community.

With the support of Sainsbury's we collect surplus foodstuffs on a daily basis from their retail stores in Prenton and Upton in the Wirral. These provisions, which include bread, pastries and other consumables, are distributed to those in need, the aged or the infirm.

We support agencies such as:-

The Ark Project

The Salvation Army

Charles Thompson Mission

Forum Housing

And several others around the Wirral

Bread of Life Community Project is a registered company and is a registered charity.

The directors and members are committed to ensure that the Project functions for the benefit of the community and in an honest and transparent basis.

Very recently we have formed  "Friends of Bread of Life Community Project" for anybody who wishes to either support the work in prayer or financially or who would like to be involved in the work in some way.
